I've spent the past 15 years growing businesses across a range of business models, sizes, and industries:

- Helping Shopify become the fastest growing SaaS company in history to reach $1 billion in revenue.
I'm really good at finding and assessing business opportunities but I'm most passionate about helping others take control of their livelihoods.

Prior to Really Good Business Ideas, I led Experimentation & Analysis at Shopify, the all-in-one commerce platform that powers over a million businesses worldwide. My team supported efficient growth through data analysis, measurement strategy, conversion research, and controlled experimentation. Before that, I specialized in inbound marketing and was the Managing Editor of the Shopify Blog. During my time as Managing Editor, my data-driven approach helped increase email subscribers by +417% and customers acquired through the Shopify Blog by +278%.
Outside of Shopify, I've grown multiple businesses (including a brewing company), consulted for many other businesses, and taught a range of topics, including digital marketing, search engine optimization, business analytics, and data visualization and storytelling.

Liberty Village Brewing Company
Co-founded and bootstrapped a craft brewing company from concept to production. Built the brand, developed distribution partnerships, and managed day-to-day operations while learning the intricacies of manufacturing, retail, and regulated industries. Along the way, I got to experience the unique satisfaction of creating a tangible product people genuinely loved. Sold in 2018.
Shopify
Led content marketing (serving as Managing Editor of the Shopify Blog), operated as Chief of Staff in a placement shadowing the CPO (Interim CMO), and led Experimentation & Analysis. Built the first analytics team, scaling it to 20+ analysts, transformed the experimentation culture, and helped grow the platform from 175K to over 2M businesses worldwide.
